Your Author, Shevy Cardoza, hails from the land of Kingston, Jamaica but considers herself a citizen of the Universe. Ever since she was a child, Shevy’s life has been fueled by curiosity and a need to explore. Her curious nature often found her being attracted to and exploring ‘things’ that were considered unorthodox and weird. As a result, not knowing how to handle her curiosity and ashamed of the differences she was attracted to, Shevy found her self sliding down the slippery slope of depression,addiction, obesity and self-hatred.

For many years, she swam in mucky pools of negativity and pessimism until the day the Universe sent a great call to Shevy to change and begin the healing process by learning to love self. She answered the call and has been on a journey ever since. Her journey has taken her to Buddhist temples in Thailand, an Ashram in India, into the hands of traditional and alternative healers, on the path of Yoga, into the lifestyle of a Vegetarian and has transformed her into quite a smiley faced, calm being.

Thus, noticing all the transformative changes that have occurred for her on her journey, Shevy decided to make it her life’s mission to empower others through the gifts and teachings of learning to love self.
